Testimonials

“I had the incredible privilege of racing for the Team Canada Scholarship at the 2022 Walter Hayes Trophy race at Silverstone and the 2022 Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch. From the shootout at CTMP to my first taste of international racing, I developed valuable skills and was given amazing advice that will take my racing career to the next level. It was truly an eye opening experience to race with some of the best Formula Ford drivers in the world. So many people came together to make this experience possible, and I will always be grateful and treasure the memories and lessons I gained from this unforgettable journey. I can confidently say it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and it has already helped me further my racing career.”

“When there was so much uncertainty surrounding how my 2022 racing year would look like, going from that feeling at the beginning of the year, to being 1 of the 2 drivers chosen on merit to represent Team Canada at two of the biggest Formula Ford races of the year was genuinely a speechless moment. We all know the financial challenges that come with trying to pursue a career in racing and yet still continue to fight regardless, so to have a program like the Team Canada Scholarship to give those fighting individuals, including myself, an opportunity is incredible. I would like to take this chance to humbly thank all the partners, sponsors, and people at TCS for continuing to support young Canadian drivers.”

“Well, it’s official!! I have been chosen by the Team Canada Scholarship to represent Canada in the Formula Ford Festival.

As amazing as this opportunity is, I am extremely proud and honoured to represent Canada this year! This will prove a great experience that will benefit my racing career both on and off the track. Being my first season in Formula 1600, I will be up against some great drivers and teams with lots of experience. I have no doubt that we will be able to give them a good fight up front.”

“Words can’t describe how great it feels to be chosen by an expert motorsport panel to represent the best country in the world. This has been one of my goals for a long time now, to represent Canada over in England at the Formula Ford Festival. I think growing up in karting and watching some of the drivers I looked up to, to get chosen by the Team Canada Scholarship makes this moment all the more rewarding. For now, I’m just focused on preparing the best I can for the event. I know I will be with a top tier operation racing for Cliff Dempsey Racing, and it’s up to me to put the Canadian flag at the sharp end of the grid. I can’t thank the sponsors and Team Canada Scholarship enough for giving me this invaluable opportunity.”

“I can’t believe it! England here I come!!

I’m thrilled to announce that I have been chosen as the second member of the 2013 Team Canada Scholarship. It is such an honor to be able to represent Canada and I can’t thank everyone who is a part of the program enough to help make this happen. I know everyone involved has been working extremely hard to get this program together and without them none of this would be possible! I will do my best to make them all proud!”

“Very few athletes get to represent their entire nation at an international sporting event. The Team Canada Scholarship provided me this amazing opportunity and also a springboard for competing at other high level international events. Brain Graham and all of the Team Canada Scholarship supporters make a lasting impression on young Canadian racers chasing their dreams. This was certainly the case for me.

Going wheel to wheel with some of world’s best open wheel talent is a quick way to improve race craft and minimize mistakes. The lessons have been carried all throughout my career and I’m very thankful to have been part of the Team Canada Scholarship.”

“One week from ago, I had the chance to go to England for the 47th BRSCC Formula Ford Festival. After a great runner up season, Brian Graham choose us to be the driver of Team Canada Scholarship at the Festival. Can’t believe it’s already behind us.

The Festival was an amazing experience where I met awesome peoples and drove on a European race track for the first time. I learned a lot of lessons. I went from an aggressive to an incisive driving style. I’ll bring this style back home and become a better driver with it.

All of this opportunity would not be possible without the help of a lot of persons. First of them is Brian Graham from Brian Graham Racing who is the founder of Team Canada Scholarship. You deserved all my respect for everything you did for me. You had faith in me and I will always be grateful for that.

Of course, Team Canada Scholarship is more than one person. The team is huge and you guys all deserved the position we end up in the final! So thankful for your contributions.”

“I am really excited to be selected for the 2012 Team Canada Scholarship. It is a great opportunity to represent Canada at one of the biggest Formula Ford races in the world. For anyone racing F1600, this is the event that you want to be in at some point in your career. Xavier [Coupal] set the bar pretty high last year, so I know I have my work cut out for me. The chance to run with Cliff Dempsey Racing will be a great experience for me as a driver. I really want to thank everyone on the selection committee for believing in me.”
